Be prepared for a very slow escort of industrial equipment from Saturday to Monday

The drive from Riverfront Parkway to Hickory Valley Road will take over 4 hours…every morning

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tennessee (WDEF) – The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is warning drivers of some heavy charges on the roads this weekend.

They will escort three large pieces of industrial equipment to the Gestamp factory on Hickory Valley Road.

They will come from Riverfront Parkway.

The route must be approved to ensure that the roads can support the load and that they can clear all bridges.

The loads are extremely heavy, so the relatively short spike will take around four and a half hours to complete.

The first trip starts at 9 am on Saturday, weather permitting. And the escorts will rehearse on Sunday and Monday morning.
