This South Charlotte home incorporates intense soul and timeless pieces to make it the go-to choice for the best design.

Style in 3 words: Accessible, unexpected, cultured.

Who: Although the owner of the medical house is originally from Charlotte, it was not until the interior designer Mary Cloud created a space for the family to retreat through difficult pandemic times that the family finally felt at home.

The House: This 2,849 square foot home in Beverly Crest features four bedrooms and 2.5 baths boasting a stylish personality that can stand on its own just as much as the pieces work together to support the home’s soulful character.

Design: Drama is the key ingredient that puts this house above. This can be seen in the dining room where a geometric cane dining table is accessorized with stunning scalloped chairs, a large beaded chandelier and cool wallpaper.

Inspiration: The family wanted a timeless interior design so their home could grow and they could enjoy it for years to come.

  • The games room, for example, was built for the moment but designed with a view to evolution.

Best rooms: While the kitchen and playroom are two brilliant rooms, this home wouldn’t be complete without the bedroom design.

  • The room features a dark marble backsplash that warms up with a contemporary fireplace. The abstract light fixture and floor-to-ceiling headboard help expand the space.
  • With future patio and sunroom design plans, there will be more design flavor to spill over into the new spaces.

The lavender sofa and plant greenery are the right soothing color with the chic black and white design seen in the contrasting black rug, wall art, and ceiling.

The two scalloped end chairs at the table add to the regal look. The beaded chandelier and geometric ceiling design bring the whole dining room together.

The burgundy covered bedroom with a slightly matte finish allows you to decompress as soon as you enter the room. The neutral headboard and decor add soothing balance.

An elegant separate double vanity opens the room.

The chandelier and bed frame allow this bedroom to grow with the child as they are both timeless pieces.

The bookcase and sofa area can also grow with the room as the child grows.

The bathroom’s frosted sliding door and modernized marble fireplace transform this room into a chic and contemporary master bedroom.

The floor-to-ceiling headboard was something I didn’t know I needed in my next home, making for a great master bedroom.
