Krohne Group refreshes wet gas system with safety-focused design

Dubai, United Arab Emirates: The KROHNE Group, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of process instrumentation, measurement solutions and services, is proud to announce a significant update to its Venturi-based wet gas systems for better optimization of wells in the field.

The Venturi WGS 1000 / 2000 / 3000 based wet gas systems are designed to meter raw gas flow directly from the well. While achieving ±1-3% higher accuracy in dynamically changing well flows, they are also very flexible and economical: the system is space-saving and can be implemented much faster than other systems. And without a radioactive source, they significantly improve the safety of your personnel and your operations and save on your OPEX.

All advantages at a glance:

  • Flexible, modifiable and modular system
  • Independent, rapid and continuous updating of well compositions and treatment conditions
  • Scalable solution
  • Less weight and space
  • No radioactive sources resulting in low OPEX
  • Superior accuracy with built-in PVT calculations
  • System designed according to ISO5167, ISO11583 and API guidelines
  • Tables of fractions and densities for the operating range of the well or reservoir

“KROHNE is always looking to improve the customer experience through well-designed, innovative solutions. We were able to take action in two key areas with this recent WGS upgrade, improving personnel safety and reducing overall operating expenses. A win-win for our valued partners and customers that we hope they can leverage in future well projects. Watch this space for continued R&D-driven portfolio revolutions,” added Frank Janssens, Vice President, KROHNE Middle East and Africa.
