Metso Outotec to supply crushing and grinding equipment to Blackwater project in British Columbia


Metso Outotec was awarded a contract for the delivery of key crushing and grinding equipment to Artemis Gold Blackwater Gold Project in Central British Columbia The scope of delivery includes the supply of the the MK-III 4265 primary gyratory crusher, Nordberg HP900 secondary and tertiary cone crushers and 14 MW Premier ball mill for the Phase 1 processing plant at Blackwater.

Earlier this monthit was announced that Metso Outotec had been selected as the supplier of crushing and grinding equipment for the Blackwater project. Canadawhich is responsible for the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPC) of the project, has signed an agreement with Metso Outotec to set the price and delivery schedule for the equipment.

Located approximately 446 km northeast of Vancouver, Blackwater includes the construction, operation and closure of an open pit gold mine and ore processing facilities to be developed in several stages. Over an estimated life of 22 years, the mine is expected to produce an average of 339,000 oz. gold per year.
